Reason for the award

Effigy is an NPC, so the bio tries to tell you. However, as one of the major antagonists of Avalon’s current plot, she is more than a random insert designed to cause trouble. She has a rich background of her own that we only get introduced to as a slow drip-feed, and recent revelations tie her to the cast in a more permanent way. John is a masterful storyteller and this is the first time in a while where I find myself rooting for a bad guy to stick around for a while. Effigy is a great addition to the adaptation of the X-Men universe we’re carving out for ourselves.
