Attention all delegates to the Sixth Annual Khitomer Conference,
The Khitomer Conference was founded based on the ideals of partnership, friendship, and collaboration. We envisioned this forum to be a place where all members of the simming community could come together, regardless of experience or community affiliation, and join their fellow simmers in lively discussion about simming and Star Trek. For the first five years of the Khitomer Conference, the founding hosts have worked on our own to build this forum and further the goal of cooperation and partnership.
We are excited to announce a new initiative. Starting at the sixth annual Khitomer Conference, we are seeking a Community Partner. This Partner, representing an organization in the greater simming community, will work alongside the Khitomer hosts to plan and organize the event. This Partnership will be a way for the Khitomer Conference to showcase your community, while also infusing new ideas into the event. With our years of experience hosting past events, we’ll be working with you every step of the way.
Besides working alongside the hosts for planning, promotion, and the day-of-event operation, we would be looking for a Partner to commit to filling 4-6 hours sessions throughout the day of the event, garnered through the Partner’s chair, organization, and connections. We would also expect our Partner to join us for the opening and closing ceremonies.
In exchange for all of your help with the event, our Partner would be able to choose a special Partner Recognition Award for a game/person that you are not connected to. We will also promote you and your community while advertising for the Khitomer Conference, and for the three months following the Conference we will reduce advertising limits from two weeks to one week for all games in your community when promoting themselves on the Khitomer Conference Discord server.
We can’t overstate that we are truly looking for a Partner. You will be supporting us, rather than us supporting you. As a Partner, the last thing the Khitomer hosts would expect of you is to run the event on your own. We are looking for someone to not only share the burden, but to share in the glory of putting on a successful conference.
